About Us

Newport Mooring Association

Protecting Mooring Holders Since 1995

The mission of the Newport Mooring Association is to be vigilant in advocating for the rights and interests of mooring permit holders in Newport Harbor. The moorings have a long history of contributing to the success and ambiance of our unique harbor. They bring an affordable option to boat owners, including individuals and groups who support maritime businesses, and others who belong to yacht clubs, each wishing to berth their vessels in Newport.

The Newport Mooring Association is steadfast in the belief that protection of the existing mooring permit system, with rights to transfer the permit, is the only way to ensure the future of affordable coastal access in Newport Harbor.
